We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family during this difficult time. Dato’ Dr. Madeline Berma passed away on 30th December 2025 at her residence in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor. Her presence and invaluable contributions will be deeply missed.

Dato Ir Alice Jawan shared her thoughts and condolences, saying:“We ended the year with the sad news of the passing of our Sarawak woman economist legend, who made a significant development impact on rural women through her extensive research and training in empowering them. May her (Dato’ Dr. Madeline Berma) soul rest in peace.”

Ms. Angela Samson, Deputy Chairman, added:“This is a great loss to the community. There are very few who possess the depth of wisdom of the late Dato’ Dr. Madeline Berma, especially in the field of Economics.”
